Allen, Sandra Jean January 14, 1942 to April 3, 2010 Sandi passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2010. She was born on January 14, 1942, in San Diego, California. Sandi attended Rolando Elementary and was in the original graduating class of Crawford High School in 1959. Sandi worked as a clerk/ secretary at a hardware store in San Diego before moving to the Los Angeles area. There she worked as a clerk /secretary at Compton and Long Beach schools. She returned to San Diego where she became a secretary for the San Diego Unified School District. She was an administrative assistant to a deputy superintendent when she retired in 1999 . In 1971, she married Roy, her husband of 38 years. They lived in San Diego and Santee for 22 years. They resided in Menifee for the last nine years. Sandi really loved to travel, especially to London and the rest of the UK. She was a tour guide to London for many years. Sandi is survived by her husband, Roy; a sister, Jackie; two nieces and one nephew; one great- nephew, and four great-great- nieces and nephews . A visitation, memorial service, and reception will be held at the Miller-Jones Memorial Park in Sun City on Thursday, April 8, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. Published in San Diego Union-Tribune on April 8, 2010
