Campbell, Fontella L.

Went on her final journey home to be with the Lord on
April 2, 2010 after her battle with cancer. Fontella was
born September 25, 1918 in McDowell, Missouri to Otto
and Goldie Walker. Her family moved to Sunnyside, WA
when she was nine years of age. In 1936, Fontella mar-
ried James Campbell of Zillah, WA. They were married 65
years. They lived in Selah, WA until 1986 before moving
to the Spokane and Chewelah area. Her beloved
husband, Jim, preceded her in death in 2001. Her oldest
son, Roger, preceded her in death in 2004. Fontella is
survived by her sons,Robert Campbell of Spokane, and
Gary Campbell and wife Karen of Yakima, WA; Roger's
widow, Charlotte Campbell of Deer Park; eight
grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and two great-
great grandchildren, as well as,several extended relatives
and cherished friends. Jim and Fontella wereactive
members of their church enjoying a multitude of Bible
studies andsocials. They greatly enjoyed trips to the
ocean beaches, camping, parades, local fairs, and family
reunions. Fontella was a devoted wife, homemaker,
stellar seamstress, quilter, and cross-stitcher. At 91 years
old, she will be deeply missed by her two remaining sons
and extended family members, neighbors, and close
friends. Graveside service will begin at 10:00 AM on
Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Chewelah Cemetery in
Chewelah, WAfollowed by a Memorial Service at 12:00
noon at the North Addison Baptist Church 6120 N.
