ELINOR LOUISE DABLEMONT, 76, of Rogers, AR, passed away Sept 9, 2011 in Rogers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, Sept 15, 2011 at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel in Springdale. Elinor's brother in law Leonard Ballard will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Fayetteville National Cemetery at 1:00pm. A visitation will be held prior, from 5 to 8pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Elinor was born June 12, 1935 in Bucyrus, MO, to Elmer and Edna (Anderson) Arthur. She married Vaughn E. Dablemont on Dec 26, 1952 in Bucyrus.
Elinor was a devout Christian and was dedicated to her family. She had worked in banking, was a homemaker and was co owner of Vaughn's Mini Mart. She taught Sunday school and had been active in PTA and as a Girl and Cub Scout Leader. Elinor enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, cooking, card games and square dancing. She was very active in the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, being a past Secretary and President of the Rogers Chapter and a Past District President.
Survivors include her husband, Vaughn Dablemont of Rogers; sons, Alan Dablemont of Anchorage, AK and Michael Dablemont of Wasilla, AK; daughter, Rita J Valentine of North Pole, AK; brother, Jerry Arthur of Wichita Falls, TX; sister, Georgia Flowers of Ironton, MO; 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her son, Don Dablemont, brother Jim Arthur and sister, Fern Ballard.
