Carlos, Joseph D.

Roseville, CA-Joseph Desiderio Carlos, age 85, left this earth
and went to his heavenly father, on Friday, August 26th, 2011,
with family by his side at Kaiser Permanente Hospital. Joseph
Carlos was born on April 6th, 1926 in Colton, California, the
son of Maria and Alberto Carlos. He graduated from Loyola
University with a Bachelor degree in accounting. After college,
he met his life mate Harriet Winkler and they were married in
St. Andrew's Catholic Church Tennyson, Wisconsin in October of
1954. Joe and his wife Harriet raised three children Lawrence,
Teresa,and Vincent in Northern California (North Highlands &
Loomis). Joe is survived by his children: Larry and his family,
Donna-Renee (Wife), Alex and Neil (sons); Teresa and her family,
Craig James (Husband) and a daughter; and Vincent and his
family, Tracie (Wife), Chris and Corey (Sons). Joe is also
survived by two brothers: Alberto and Tomas Carlos and their
families, along with the families of his brothers Cristobal and
Santana, who preceded him in death. Joe retired from the County
of Sacramento Department of Parks and Recreation and enjoyed his
retirement as a Sacramento Jazz Festival volunteer, a member of
the St. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church (Rocklin) men's group,
and spending time with his wife and family. He loved 'good'
Mexican food and was always looking for the perfect Tamale. Joe
was a caring husband, who in his last few years lovingly watched
over his wife of 52 years, Harriet, while she was ill. His
family is eternally grateful and thankful for his dedication.
The funeral service will be held at 11am, October 15th at St.
Andrew's Church in Tennyson, Wisconsin. Burial will be in St.
Andrew's Cemetery directly after the service. A mass will be
held for Joe December 4th at St. Peter and Paul's Church in
Rocklin, CA
