Galliano, Patricia Ann 72, of San Mateo, went to heaven on
Friday July 1, 2011. She was born to the late Joseph and
Bernice Byrne on July 19, 1938 in San Francisco, Ca.
Patricia graduated from Presentation High School in San
Francisco. She married Paul Galliano in 1958 and they
worked together for over 40 years. Patricia is survived by
4 children. Paul Galliano Jr., Michelle DeFriese, Lynda
Galliano-Langlinais and Steven Galliano. She is also
survived by nine grandchildren. She was the foundation of
the family. She was the person who everyone sought out when
they had problems, big family decisions, or when they just
needed someone to listen to them. Not only did she have a
profound effect on her family but she also affected every
life she ever touched. She was Athletic Director for St.
Timothy's School for many years and eventually became
Commissioner. She loved coaching track and softball and
encouraged her children to do the same. All of her children
are now following in her footsteps. Traveling was her
passion and especially with the "Golf Group". She also
loved her annual Santa Cruz trips for the last 15 years.
Pat passionately loved each and every member of her family
and her grandchildren were the light of her life. Some of
the best times in Pat's life were in Pine Mountain Lake. It
was out on her deck in Pine Mountain where she found her
greatest peace and her greatest joy. She spent much of the
year thinking about the Christmas holiday. Her favorite
thing to do was shop, shop and shop some more for her kids
and grandkids. Those fortunate enough to have known her
were touched by her kindness, generosity, and eagerness to
make each life brighter. Her life was a gift to us all. A
viewing will be held on Thursday, July 7th from 5-8 pm at
Sneider & Sullivan & O'Connell's Funeral Home at 977 South
El Camino Real in San Mateo with the Vigil at 7pm. The
funeral will be held on Friday July 8th at 10am at St.
Timothy Church 1515 Dolan Ave. in San Mateo. Committal at
Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma.
