Stead, Grace Nelson

Grace Stead (nee Nelson) Passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2010 
due to complications from a stroke. She was born in 1913 in 
Willamina, Oregon. Education was very important to Grace and 
she was proud to have been the first in her family to graduate 
from high school. Grace married Harry B Stead of Olympia in 
1931 and they soon welcomed their first son Bob. The family 
eventually moved to Olympia where soon, their second son Rex 
joined them. Grace went back to school for a business certificate 
and after graduation she worked at Sunset Life Insurance, then 
got a job with the State of Washington until she retired in 1982. 
During her retirement Grace had many interests including travel, 
volunteering and being Grandma Grace. Grandma Grace touched 
many lives and will be missed by all around her. She is survived 
by her two sons and wives, six grandchildren, eleven great 
grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. A memorial 
service is planned for Wednesday, September 8th at 7:00 p.m. at 
Elim, Evangelical Free Church, 9421 128th St. E, Puyallup.
