Layton, Owen Warren

of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away February 27, 2010 at the
young age of 65. He was a native of Arizona, born in Safford,
the son of Owen and Ruela (Foote) Layton. Owen was a
veteran of the United States Air Force. In his lifetime career as
educator and administrator, Owen achieved his greatest passion
of reaching and enhancing the lives of his students and
colleagues. He began his career as a teacher at Sunnyslope
High School, returning later to serve as Principal, a job he
greatly enjoyed. Owen is survived by wife, Angie; daughters
Christy Oberuc (Joseph), Bonnie (Lee Rietz); sisters Elizabeth
Harrington and Linda Boor (Jeff); and his 6 nieces and nephews.
He was very proud of his family. Memorial services will be
held 10 am, Saturday March 13, at Hansen Chapel, 8314 N.
