| Conn, Charles R. "Chuck" 71 of El Mirage, AZ passed away March 6, 2010 at Banner Good Samaritan Hospital. Charles was born April 29, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA to Charles Richard Conn and Jean. He lived in South Jersey and was graduated from Glassboro High School in 1957. Chuck served eight years in the United States Air Force earning an Honorable Discharge July 1965. He worked as a Customer Service Agent for TWA (Trans World Airlines) in Dayton and Columbus, OH; Phoenix, AZ; and St. Louis, MO. After thirty-three years, he retired to live in his beloved state of Arizona. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ted, and step-mother Julia M. Conn. Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Sheila (Burns) Conn, a niece Cathy (Conn) Pogozelski of NJ, a nephew Steven Conn of FL, other nieces and nephews, and a great niece and six great nephews. Chuck enjoyed traveling, Johnny Mathis music, and attending The Ohio State football games with family and friends. He was a true Buckeye fan for over thirty years. He became interested in WWII history- especially the DDay Invasion. He was an avid reader and belonged to several Air Museums including being a Charter Member of The National WWII Museum. His trip to Normandy was most inspiring and memorable. A memorial service will be held at the Camino del Sol Funeral Chapel 13738 Camino del Sol, Sun City West on Monday, March 15, at 2:00.
