Burnette, Barbara Ray Christy
was born in Sedalia, Mo, on May 26th, 1937 and died in Phoenix, Arizona on March 15, 2010. She was 72 years old. She graduated from West Port High School in 1955. She was married to Harvey Eugene "Smiley" Burnette on December 4, 1960 for over 50 years. She is survived by her daughter, Christy Burnette, and her son, Louis Burnette. Barbara had three granddaughters: Aidan and Brenna Gaunt of Phoenix, Arizona, and Mallory Burnette of Raytown, Missouri. Barbara loved sewing, gardening, and visiting with friends. She found joy in the time she spent with her children and grandchildren, just as her smile and good heart brought joy to those around her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to the National Emphysema Foundation.
