| Meyer, Connie 71 1/26/1939 3/13/2010 Connie was born in Philadelphia to Ned and Betty Herrold and grew up with her sister, Pam, in the Midwest where she graduated from Ohio State University. She met Vince Meyer while in graduate school and they married Dec. 29, 1962. Together they raised their three girls in Hamilton, Mass. She was a passionate quilter and opened the Cranberry Quilters store in 1978. Later in life, Connie devoted much of her time as a reading tutor at the Portland Reading Foundation and the RIGGS Institute. Above all, Connie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Connie passed away March 13, 2010, at her home in Clackamas with her family by her side. Connie is survived by her husband, Vincent; sister, Pam (Bob) Koush; daughters, Liz (Tim) Smith, Teresa (Matt) Dougherty and Mary (John) Grossi; and eight grandchildren. A viewing will be from noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010, and recitation of the rosary will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Mt. Scott Funeral Home. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, March 19, 2010, in Christ the King Catholic Church, Milwaukie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
